Membership/Program Fee Waiver

Please be informed that the Council Executive Board voted at its August meeting to suspend the $20.00 program fee until December 1, 2024.

This is a one-time determination for the purpose of enticing new members to register and pay on the night of a recruiting event. It applies to both new youth and adult registrations. This incentive is only available for paper applications.

Recruiting event for this initiative is defined as (1) any Council organized School night Open House or Community Event; and (2) any UNIT Organized recruiting event that has the collaboration and PRIOR approval of the Unit’s District Executive.

Fee incentive (versus 2023 fee of $125.00):

• One-time $25 national BSA signup fee eliminated.
• $20 program fee removed for one-time through December 1, 2024
• Council will encourage and accept paper applications for this incentive with Check, Cash or Credit Card payments which removes the $8.00+ on-line processing fee. Total registration fee utilizing this incentive August 15 – December 1 will be $85.00* for youth and $65.00 for adults*.

* Represents $5.00 member fee increase by BSA in 2024
